Guidelines for Consumer-Focused Public Reporting:
The National Quality Forum (NQF) has issued for comment "Guidelines for Consumer-Focused Public Reporting" for hospital quality measures. The purpose of these guidelines is to provide guidance for Internet-based public reporting of hospital quality information. The NQF Steering Committee is recommending seven guidelines for NQF endorsement focused on topics such as identifying the audience, presenting and explaining the data, and evaluating and improving the data display.
