Maine Network for Health is a provider-owned organization with a contracted provider network of 12 hospitals and almost 800 physicians practicing in Maine.
helping providers with their business arrangements with insurance companies and HMOs,
facilitating the credentialing process using CAQH, and
providing education & training for providers in the area of quality improvement processes so they can address the concerns being raised about health care quality.
You can find our list of current contracted payors on the Network Services page. MNH can assist you in contracting with non-network payors (see our Credentialing page) for a reasonable fee.
Once their application is completed, our Network Support Specialists will download it, review the information, and then submit it to Anthem Credentialing Services, Inc. to verify the primary sources. The provider's application will then be reviewed by our Credentials Committee. Once a provider has been accepted into our network, a confirmation letter will be sent to them.
Make your request to MNH in writing on company letterhead to include effective date, practice name, address, tax ID #, and names of providers. This request can be sent to us by:
MNH contracts with providers holding the following credentials: MD, DO, DPM, DDS, NP and OD. If your provider is one of these, please complete the Provider Data Form and submit it to us by:
CAQH is The Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, Inc. They have created the CAQH Universal Credentialing DataSource which includes a universal online credentialing application. MNH contracts with commercial and managed care payors on behalf of our Network, which both supports and strengthens the Network while providing optimal access to high quality care.
MHN is a company owned by local doctors and hospitals, which was created in 1995 to help them deal more constructively with HMOs and managed care. Today MNH has developed into a broad-based service organization. We offer a range of services that support doctors and hospitals (who we call "providers") to deal with the rapidly changing demands of the health care industry.
