Information on MNH's contract with Maine's consumer-led CO-OP health plan, new for 2014

Maine Network for Health is pleased to announce the execution of a new payor contract with Maine Community Health Options, Maine’s first consumer operated health insurance plan. MCHO is a national Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan (CO-OP) created with the support of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. 

The plan is now offered on the federally operated Marketplace for 2014, as well as through local brokers.  

This MCHO contract through Maine Network for Health offers several progressive elements to MNH Providers:

  • Primary Care, Specialist and Hospital reimbursement at market competitive rates
  • Per member per month (pmpm) payments for Practices that have achieved NCQA recognition as Patient Centered Medical Home sites, to support enhanced primary care activities
  • An additional pmpm payments for specified Care Management activities performed by PCP offices
